The Inauguration and Turnover of the Ivisan Agrohub in Ivisan, Capiz in Western Visayas was held on October 24, 2019. 

Turning over of key to CASCOFAMCO

The agrohub was formally turned over to the proponent, the Capiz Small Coconut Farmers Marketing Cooperative (CASCOFAMCO). Ivisan Agrohub consists of a Coir Processing Complex and a Coconut Oil Processing Facility, located in Mianay and Ondoy Ivisan, respectively. The product lines of the Ivisan Oil Mill Facility includes virgin coconut oil (VCO), refined cooking oil, crude oil, copra cake, coco water vinegar, and bath soap. As for the Coir-Charcoal Facility, the product lines are coir, hanks, coconets, cocologs, coco peat, and charcoal.

During the event, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and blessing of facilities, together with an official switch-on ceremony of the milling equipment were conducted. This event was attended by some members of the PCA Governing Board such as Dir. Romulo Dela Rosa, Dir. Alan Tanjuakio, Dir. Roque Quimpan, and Special Assistant to the Chairman Mr. Carlos Carpio.

Chairman of the CASCOFAMCO Board Mr. Adan Laurilla represented CASCOFAMCO in the turnover of the agrohub in his acceptance speech. Other attendees include PCA Region VI Regional Manager Jeffrey A. De los Reyes, provincial and municipal representatives, CASCOFAMCO members, and other stakeholders.

After the ceremonial events, a consultative meeting between PCA representatives and CASCOFAMCO members was conducted.
