PCA Region X delivered 1,200 catigan coconut seedlings to a 30-hectare seed farm located in Brgy. Gala, Ozamiz City, under the region’s Seed Farm Development Project (SFDP). This is the second batch of delivery in addition to the first batch of 500 seedlings delivered earlier in June.

Overall, the said seed farm is to feature the coconut varieties catigan, baguer, and aromatic dwarfs which is aimed to provide for the region's needs of high-quality planting materials.

Another 1,200 baybay tall variety seedlings were also delivered in an IP area in Brgy. Pigsag-an, Cagayan de Oro City through the coordination between PCA X and the City’s Agriculture Office (CAO). This is in congruence with PCA and the LGU's commitment to empower our IP communities in support of the Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict initiatives in the region.

The transport and delivery of the seedlings were facilitated by CAO Cagayan de Oro City with the guidance of PCA Misamis Oriental.

The seedlings delivered were sourced from the Department of Agriculture's Bukidnon Agricultural Productivity Center (BAPC) Coconut Seedfarm, which is also in partnership with PCA X on this endeavor. ### (PCA X)
