Lucban, Quezon --- PCA Region IV Acting Regional Manager III Ramon L. Rivera and Quezon I Chief Joselito R. Alcantara handed over to Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) President, Dr. Doracie B. Zoleta-Nantes, a check amounting to P972.4K for the payment of coconut seedlings supplied by the university on September 22.

PCA regional chief personally presented the check to the university head during their visit at the SLSU in Lucban, Quezon.
Rivera, having been the manager of the PCA Zamboanga Research Center, talked about various coconut-related research prospects that can be explored with SLSU such as seed farm development, coconut varietal studies, and probes on coconut products like lambanog.
This is the second and final tranche payment of the P2.2M-contract between the PCA and SLSU for the production of good quality coconut planting materials, which is under the Authority’s Coconut Seedling Dispersal Project (CSDP) and IP Outreach Program (IPOP).
On the other hand, Dr. Zoleta-Nantes shared about the marketing campaigns and other promotional activities for coconut-based products being done in SLSU campuses.
