Agusan del Norte, October 29 --- The Philippine Coconut Authority Region XIII attended the launching of the Agri-Tourism Enterprise Village launched by the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) of the Agusan del Norte Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) in Brgy. San Antonio, Municipality of Remedios T. Romualdez, Agusan del Norte on October 29, 2020.

The activity was participated by the Representative of the 2nd District, Hon. Ma. Angelica Rosedell Amante-Matba, Hon. Dale B. Corvera - Agusan del Norte Governor, commanding officers of the Philippine Army and Philippine National Police, and regional and provincial directors of different national government line agencies as cluster members.

During the launching, PCA committed to distribute the Php100,000 worth of cash incentives within the month of November to the 52 Indigenous People (IPs) coconut farmers under the PCA project Indigenous People Outreach Program (IPOP). PCA also provided 100 coconut seedlings per hectare and 50 heads of chicken with feeds to the Youth Sector (YS) of the said barangay, dubbed as the “Young Farmers” under PCA’s Livestock Integration program.

“Dako kining tabang sa amoang mga IPs kay nakita namu ang dakong paglantaw nga tabangan kami sa gobyerno. Gitagaan kami ug bili maong dako among pasalamat sa atong goberno” (This is a big help to us IPs because the government does reach out to help us. They are able also to see our potential and that is why we are very thankful to our government), Tribal Leader Dakula Ago said.

PCA RXIII continues to support the Executive Order 70, or whole of nation approach, mandated by President Rodrigo Duterte.
