TARRAGONA, Davao Oriental --- The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) distributed a total of ₱520,000.00 to 94 coconut farmers from different barangays in Tarragona, Davao Oriental on October 29, 2020.

The farmer-recipients were from the barangays of Jovellar, Maganda, and Cabayagan, who in all replanted 130 hectares with coconut.
The check distribution was led by PCA Region XI Acting Regional Manager Juvy Alayon, Tarragona Mayor Nestor Uy, and PCA Davao Oriental Chief Edgar Oliveros.
PCA provides an incentive to farmers who will plant or replant coconut seedlings through its Accelerated Coconut Planting/Replanting Program – Participatory Coconut Planting/Replanting Project (ACPRP-PCPP). For every stabilized coconut seedling in the field, the farmer-participant is given an incentive of ₱40.00, with a minimum land area requirement of 0.5 hectare and a maximum of 5-hectare area per farmer. ### (PCA XI)
