The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), in partnership with San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation (SMYPC), successfully rolled out the Suitable Packaging for Coconut Food and Non-Food Products Seminar last 03 February 2023 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, during the 3rd ProPak Philippines.

Operations Branch Deputy Administrator Roel M. Rosales delivered his Welcome Remarks
The seminar tackled two topics discussed by resource persons from SMYPC, namely ‘Unlock Opportunities with Ziplock Bags’ by Ms. Anna Patricia Condemilicor and ‘Glass is Good’ by Ms. Jodie Pian Asodisen. They explained the types of packaging, what they are made of, how they contribute to a product’s shelf life and branding and their limitations and capacity. The seminar’s goal is to give the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the coconut industry a range of packaging options that are practical and affordable.
