DILIMAN, Quezon City – In line with the recent national coordination meeting among the implementing agencies of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund (CFITF) Act, the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) holds simultaneous inter-agency meetings in different regions nationwide.

Led by the PCA Regional Offices, seven (7) regions have completed their Regional Inter-Agency Committee (RIATC) meetings in the month of February, which include Region III, Region VI, Region VII, Region IX, Region X, Region XII, and Region XIII.

The RIATC is a regional level technical committee formed to review the progress of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) programs, coordinate activities, and facilitate operations in the field. The RIATC is composed of the regional representatives of the fifteen (15) implementing agencies identified in the CFITF namely: ATI, BAI, CDA, CHED, DBP, DOST-PCAARRD, DPWH, DTI, HVCDP, LBP, NDA, PCIC, PHILMECH, TESDA, and PCA, mandated to convene in a monthly basis.

“Layunin ng RIATC Meetings na siguruhin na akma sa potensyal ng industriya, pangangailangan, at kakayahan ng bawat magsasaka ng niyog, ang lahat ng mga programa, proyekto, at serbisyo na ipapatupad ng pamahalaan sa ilalim ng CFIDP. Katuwang natin dito ang bawat isa, kabilang na ang mga nasa lokal na pamahalaan at mga grupo ng magsasaka ng niyog”, said by PCA Administrator Bernie F. Cruz.

The RIATCs in other regions are set to convene in the coming weeks to consolidate Year 1 (2022) accomplishments and harmonize plans lined up for Year 2 (2023) implementation of CFIDP programs, projects, and services. ####
