The Bacong Small Coconut Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BASCOFADCO), organized and assisted by Philippine Coconut Authority Negros Oriental Provincial Office, has recently concluded its 20th year Annual Regular General Assembly Meeting (ARGAM) last February 19, 2023 held at Bacong Municipal Auditorium with the theme “Cooperatives: The Power to Act for a Sustainable Future.”

The said occasion was graced by representatives from Social Security System (SSS) - Ms. Elisa M. Llavan (Branch Manager), Philippine Federation of Credit Cooperatives (PFCCO) - Mr. Gilbert M. Sedigo (Marketing & Training Officer), Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) - Ms. Marita M. Somido (Acting Division Chief I) and Ms. Rosalinda P. Arbon (Coconut Development Officer of Bacong, Negros Oriental).

In attendance also were six hundred eighty (680) regular active members from the Municipalities of Bacong and Sibulan, Negros Oriental together with its officers and staff.

The members were so happy and appreciative because despite the pandemic and financial crises experienced, the cooperative was able to withstand and gained a net surplus of five hundred ninety thousand two hundred sixty three pesos & thirty two centavos (₱ 590,263.32). On the other hand, its total assets amounted to nine million six hundred seven thousand nine hundred twenty six pesos & sixty three centavos
(₱ 9,607,926.63).

New services extended to its members was the KAYA Payment Platform (Bayad Center) and as Collecting Agent of the Social Security System.
