PCA Quezon II – Two thousand (2,000) coconut farmers from the twenty two municipalities of the 3rd and 4th district of Quezon will undergo one-day training on Accelerated Coconut Planting/Replanting Project (ACPRP) and Coconut Fertilization Project (CFP) of the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA). The training focused on the innovative technologies on coconut production intended to further achieve the objective of the project.
As part of the project implementation, the beneficiaries will be given the opportunity to enhance their farming skills and acquire good agricultural practices in coconut  farming.  The  skills  training are sets of 50 participants per  session  which  will be conducted simultaneously all over the province from September 17, 2019 to November 6,  2019. The training module is divided into two parts:

1) Lecture on PCA’s implementing guidelines on ACPRP & CFP, Coconut Selection, Nursery Establishment & Management,Field Planting and Coconut Fertilization; and 2) Knowledge Sharing thru Hands-on Demo on Coconut Good Agricultural Practices.
During the opening ceremony, Barangay Captain Andres Pamplona welcome the  participants  as  host barangay and expressed their support and cooperation. Meanwhile, PCDM Lanie M. Lapitan emphasized that PCA as implementer of the program will ensure the readiness of the farmer-beneficiary prior to project implementation. She then challenged the participants to take all the opportunities to learn new technologies and take advantage of the support from the implementing agency. Moreover, she advised them to apply the new knowledge in addition to the conventional practices in the coconut farming communities.
The opening ceremony for the first batch of trainings was held last September 17, 2019 at Brgy. Bonifacio, Unisan, Quezon simultaneously done at Brgy. Yawe, Padre Burgos, Quezon. Each session was attended by fifty (50) project beneficiaries and facilitated by three (3) selected Agriculturists as trainer-facilitator and Senior Agriculturist headed by the Provincial Coconut Development Manager.
