With the theme “𝑅𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑆𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝐴𝑔𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑢𝑙𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐶𝑙𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑠,” his words echo with determination and hope for the coffee, cacao, and coconut industries as they face the challenges of a changing climate. Agriculture leaders, farmers, and stakeholders from across the Philippines gathered at the Iloilo Convention Center from November 6 to 8 for the National Coffee, Cacao, and Coconut (CoCaNut) Congress 2024. Organized by the POPA Agriculture Cooperative in partnership with the Iloilo City Government, Iloilo Provincial Government, and regional agricultural institutions, the event featured the theme, "𝑅𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑆𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝐴𝑔𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑢𝑙𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐶𝑙𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑠," emphasizing the urgent need for sustainable agricultural practices in a warming world.

The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) showcased the Philippines’ thriving coconut industry at the 2024 Salon International de l’Alimentation (SIAL), one of the world’s largest and most influential food trade shows in the world, held from October 19 to 23 at Paris Nord Villepinte, bringing together over 7,500 exhibitors and 285,000 industry professionals from 205 countries.

As part of its commitment to enhance service quality and streamline processes, the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) has officially launched its bid for ISO 9001:2015 certification, completing its first phase on Thursday, October 17.
