DA-PCA continues to pursue organizational transformation
With the decades-old problems our coconut farmers, industry stakeholders, and the industry have been facing, the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Coconut Authority (DA-PCA) has embarked on a transformation journey to become a more efficient and credible organization that is responsive and proactive to the needs and issues confronting the coconut industry.

PCA braces for coconut trust fund law implementation
After decades-long of waiting, last February 26 (Friday), President Rodrigo Duterte signed into law the landmark Republic Act No. 11524, otherwise known as the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Trust Fund Act. This law prescribes the management and utilization of the coco levy fund, the tax exacted from farmers during the Marcos Administration from 1971 to 1983 currently deposited in the national treasury, and assets acquired through the said fund for the benefit of the coconut farmers and development of the coconut industry. With this, the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Coconut Authority (DA-PCA) braces itself to face new and enormous challenges of effectively implementing the law that aims to consolidate the benefits due to coconut farmers and sustain the development of the coconut industry.

DA-PCA lauds DOE for B5 biodiesel blend plan
Quezon City --- The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), as the agency tasked to develop the coconut industry to its full potential and as a member of the National Biofuel Board (NBB) – strongly supports the Department of Energy’s (DOE) efforts in pursuing its plan to increase the contribution of biofuels in the country’s energy mix, which includes the proposed increase in the biodiesel blend from B2 to B5.

More CFSMFF distribution for coconut farmers in CARAGA region
Agusan del Norte — The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Region XIII continues to distribute cash and food assistance in the region under the Cash and Food Subsidy for Marginal Farmers and Fisherfolk (CFSMFF) program. Another CFSMFF distribution was done on January 21, 2021 at the Municipal Farm, Municipality of Kitcharao in Agusan del Norte.
